I have always loved the outdoors and spent my early childhood in Cumbria where my fondest memories are of family walks in the Lake District.
After 16 years living in South Africa, I came back to the UK and settled in the Yorkshire Dales. Here I was fortunate to gain my outdoor qualifications through Giggleswick School where I led the Outdoor Pursuits department as well as teaching French and German. Whilst there, I loved organising adventure trips to Wales, the Lakes and Scotland, as well as training youngsters for their Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. Highlights of my time at Giggleswick School include trips to the Himalayas and the Picos de Europa in Northern Spain. I have climbed all over Europe and Britain, competed in Mountain Marathons, mountain biking trailquests and adventure races. Now a full-time mum of two young adventurers, My family like nothing more than getting away in our van to explore wild places, run on the fells, cycle on or off road, scramble up cliffs and cook hotdogs on mountain tops!

I love introducing people to new experiences...
